Ana is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Her educational background in mental health started with attaining her bachelors of social work from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas in 2014 followed by her Masters of social work from Texas A&M Commerce in 2015. In her student internship she received experience with psychiatric inpatient treatment with adults and geriatrics. She also interned with the probate court for both Denton and Dallas County in which her role included visitations to residential homes, group homes, and state facilities to assess appropriateness for guardianship cases for individuals with intellectual developmental disorders. Post-graduation Ana started her career in an outpatient psychiatric hospital providing group therapy until she transitioned to individual outpatient counseling.
As a licensed therapist Ana’s most present experience includes providing outpatient individual therapy. She has significant experience in treating mental health disorders such as, anxiety, trauma, depression, and other mood disorders. Her passion lies in providing individual counseling to improve the relationship with self and others. In addition, she has substantial knowledge in treating other issues such as, relationship issues, communication challenges, life transitions, stress, co-dependency, grief and loss, emotional disturbances, women’s issues, self-esteem and self-worth.
